RECONSTRUCTION OF FRONTO-ORBITO-SPHENOID AREA

Abstract
|
|
|
Lesion in fronto-orbito-sphenoid area causes progressive craniofacial asymmetry with frontal bossing & orbital dystopia.
Treatment is sought for functional & cosmetic reasons. In the past many authoors reported various reconstructive method in these area deformity.
These reconstructive method are by using split rib graft or iliac bone or both.
However these procedures are difficult to maintain smooth curvature in fronto-orbito-sphenoid area because these area are three dimentional anatomy.
So we are using a tailored outer table cranial bone graft from immediate operation field for reconstruction of this fronto-orbit-sphenoid area.
We can get several advantage as following :
1) Appropriate curvature is obtained.
2) Easy & proper selection of donor site in the same field.
3) Less morbidity in donor site.
4) Less demand bone but more effective.
